Digital Square 2


A LIVE digital artwork that grows and changes as people answer our online survey about gaming and wellbeing.

Back in January 2020, we surveyed festival guests on their gaming habits, why they play, and how gaming helps them relax, escape from everyday concerns, or socialise and have fun with friends and family.

 

In 2022, we ran the survey again to find out if Covid pandemic had changed anything.

  • THE RESULTS

    Slightly more people (55%) felt that gaming has a positive effect on their lives in 2022 than in 2020, with relaxation and fun still the most popular reasons for gaming. Read the full report by clicking the button below

  • LIVE DIGITAL ARTWORK

    As people completed the online survey across the three days of our Festival, we used the data to build a colourful, ever-changing artwork created by Dr. Colin Combe and projected it onto the front of The Stove for everyone to enjoy.

    We’ve packed the projector away now, but you can watch the finished version of Digital Square II online
